Michael is Managing Director of Pennylee with over 20 years’ experience in finance, development and construction. Michael is responsible for Pennylee’s finance and marketing, and has joint responsibility for the creation of our developments.
Michael’s career commenced in chartered accountancy with a Deloitte predecessor in Wellington. After four years, Michael moved to London to progress his interest in the financial markets. When Michael returned to Wellington, he joined Tower Investments where his role included finance, client reporting and compliance.
For the last ten years, Michael has been self-employed, offering his financial management and independent director skills to companies across a significant range of industries. Over this time, Michael has formed a particular interest in the development and construction industries and has been the part-time CFO for Redican Allwood construction for the last eight years.

William is a founding director of Pennylee with over 20 years’ experience in development and construction management.
William started his construction career in site management and quantity surveying roles within a building contractor. Following this entrance to the building industry, he completed a Construction Management degree and Business diploma. Since then William’s career has advanced with 15 years’ experience in professional project leadership roles. William has successfully managed a broad mix of large scale multi-unit residential developments in both Auckland and Wellington. He prides himself on his carefully selected team of designers, suppliers and contractors that result in consistently well designed and constructed residential developments.
William brings these skills and experience to Pennylee, ensuring all projects have the highest level of professionalism in their planning, design and construction.
